Membership - Membership to DVSA is open to all alumni of Sunoco. You do not have to be a retiree to join. If you ever worked at Sunoco, we welcome you to join! The benefits are many. Most of all there is the fellowship involved in keeping up with and meeting your former co-workers and friends from Sunoco at one of our three annual events. Membership allows you to get a password so you can login to website pages restricted to members only. We are an organization of giving. You can see below the types of work we are involved in. We publish three newsletters per year. Our website has news and benefits information that is valuable to all Sunoco alumni regardless of where they live. Membership dues is just $15 per year. Click here to sign up.
Giving - Food Cupboard - Through this long established program of DVSA, we contribute to local food programs that feed the needy. Each year we give $750 to several local charitable groups nominated by DVSA members. Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Hospital - Each December we reach out to these special organizations. News, Benefits - News about Sunoco Alumni is published on our website. | Events The Sunbrook (The Inn at Villanova) luncheon was a success. We had 59 attendees and could have had more if we didn't have a limited amount of space in the Mansion. John Riley welcomed our group during the luncheon. He read the Thank you letters from the Chester Eastside foodbank and St. Vincent de Paul Society foodbank. He also mentioned Energy Transfer is creating a documentary film exploring the ways the Vietnam War affected Delaware county. They want to hear from local people who lived and worked in Delco during the Vietnam era. Then John introduced Kathy Welsch from Villanova who gave us a short history of the Mansion. It was nice to see the place again. It brought back memories and is very much the same as it used to be. It was a beautiful day outside with the gardens in full bloom. We have some pictures for those of you who are members under the Club news menu. Not all the pictures are there yet; there will be more. Our luncheons are three times per year. The May Luncheon in 2026 was at Sunbrook, the September and December luncheons are expected to be at Springfield Country Club on Sproul Road, just off Route 1 in Delaware County, PA. Luncheons include time before and after to socialize, a sit down lunch, and a sometimes a speaker of interest to members. These events are really about the social opportunity to see old friends and co-workers. Click here for this year's luncheon and party dates. |
